âđA year of drought and a slightly earlier harvest, particularly for Garnacha Tintorera. Optimum ripeness with fresher and fruitier wines, with lower alcohol content and concentration. More than usual. HARVEST DATE From 4 September to 8 October
VINIFICATIE:
đ· It is a wine made in the âold wayâ of Monastrell, where power and extraction stand out. This means that the wine needs a lot of aging both in barrels and later in steel and bottle to achieve the roundness of the product. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 14 days at controlled temperature with programmed pipeages and ubsequent ovement on lees. Total maceration with skins for 18 days. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and ubsequent ageing in used 225-litre French oak barrels for 12 months. Blending to balance fruit and toast for a minimum of 18 months
DEGUSTATIE:
đ Bright cherry red
đ Very fruity nose, intense notes of black fruit, harmonised with subtle spices, hints of chocolate and nuts.
đ Good volume on the palate, silky but enveloping tannins, in a fresh and balanced whole with a persistent finish.
